Custom Popups: Trigger Messages Based on Score or Time

The Custom Popups feature allows you to display one or multiple popups directly inside your game, triggered automatically based on player progress.

This is ideal for:

  • Encouraging players during gameplay
  • Sharing tips or hints
  • Unlocking messages at key milestones
  • Promoting an offer or important information

How It Works

You can create as many popups as you need within a game.

Each popup can be triggered based on:

  • Score reached
  • Time spent playing

Once the defined condition is met, the popup will automatically appear to the player during gameplay.

How to Add a Custom Popup

  1. Go to your game editor.
  2. Navigate to the Custom Popups section.
  3. Click Add a popup.
  4. Fill in the following fields:

1. Title

Internal title for your popup.

2. Description (optional)

The content displayed to the player.

You can format the text and add links if needed.

3. Add Media (optional)

You can enhance your popup by adding:

  • An image (JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP – 1200x600px recommended)
  • A video (YouTube, Vimeo, or MP4)

4. Trigger Popup Based On

Select the condition that will display the popup:

  • Score
  • Time

5. Set the Trigger Value

  • If Score is selected → Enter the score that must be reached.
  • If Time is selected → Enter the time threshold.

When the player reaches the defined score or time, the popup will automatically appear.

Important Notes

  • You can create multiple popups in the same game.
  • Each popup can have its own independent trigger.
  • Popups will appear as soon as the defined condition is met.
  • Some game formats only support time-based triggers. In these cases, the score option will not be available.
  • When using multiple time-based popups, there must be at least a 2-second delay between each timed popup. This prevents popups from appearing simultaneously and ensures a smooth player experience.

Best Practices

  • Use popups strategically to avoid interrupting gameplay too often.
  • Place motivational messages at mid-game milestones.
  • Use time-based popups for countdown reminders or urgency.
  • Keep content short and clear for better player engagement.
