# Adding Call-To-Action (CTA) buttons

**If you want to send the participants of your game or module to an external page of your site, you can use a recommendation button, also called a Call-To-Action (CTA) button.**

# What is a Call-To-Action button for?

The CTA button allows you to redirect users to a strategic external web page, or a social media page, outside of your Drimify game or interactive module.

You can use it if you want to redirect your participants towards the welcome page of your website, or if you want to bring them to a page presenting a special offer or a specific product.

|| For all CTAs, you can choose whether the page opens directly on the same navigation tab as your application, or whether it opens in a new window to not take them out of the experience.

### Supported link types

CTA buttons support standard web URLs (`http://` and `https://`) pointing to external web pages or social media pages.

Please note that **`mailto:` links are not currently supported in CTA buttons**. It is therefore not possible to use a CTA button to open the participant's email client directly. If you need to provide an email contact at the end of your experience, we recommend linking to a dedicated contact page on your website instead.

# Where can I put a CTA button in my game or module?

Whatever your project is, you can integrate a CTA button on any end screen, so you can redirect the participant once they are finished with their game.

For Quizzes, Personality Tests, Product Recommendation Quizzes, and Surveys, it is also possible to add a CTA button to an intermediate screen following a question, such as a "Did you know?" screen.

You can also integrate a CTA button in an **interactive content** intermediate screen, which can be added before or after the main part of the game. There is also a customisable intermediate screen template for **social media page links** you can add before or after the game, specifically to guide users to your social media pages.

||| The use of CTA buttons in the middle of the experience, game, or module is typically not recommended, as this is going to take the user out of the experience by redirecting them to another page, which presents a risk of them stopping your game without finishing it. When this happens, depending on your goals, the experience can be less effective, and it will negatively effect its statistical performance.
