# Categories Settings

By toggling **Enable categories** you can define categories for your Media Contest. Then you can:

1. Hit the **Add a category** button to add your first category.
2. In the Category name field you should name the category as you want it to appear in your **Media Contest**.
3. Hit the **Add a category** button again to include as many as you need.

Participants will then be able to select which category applies to the file that they’re uploading.
