# Limit by IP

Limiting participation to once per IP address allows you to restrict participation to __one play within a location or household with the same Wi-Fi or ethernet connection.__

You can define the limitation to:

* A specific number of plays
* Reset that limitation of plays every X number of hours
* Reset that limitation of plays every day at a specific time

You can also determine the **Title** and **Description** that is displayed to users if they try to play again.

||| Be careful to not limit participation to once per IP address if you're organising an event where everyone uses the same Wi-Fi network, because the IP address would therefore be the same for everyone, meaning only one person could play.
