# Pre and post activation content

The **Pre and post activation content** settings allow you to display custom messages to users depending on when they try to access your experience.
This is useful to guide users, avoid frustration, and maintain engagement even when your experience is not available.

### ⏳ Before the activation date

Enable **custom content displayed before the activation date** to show a message to users who try to access your experience before it starts.
You can use the **On-page content displayed before the activation date** field to add a message such as:

*“Come back on XX/XX to play this game.”*

This is particularly useful if you are sharing access links or QR codes ahead of your campaign launch.

### 🛑 After the end date

Enable **custom content displayed after the deactivation date** to display a message once your campaign has ended.
Use the **On-page content displayed after the end date** field to:

* Thank users for participating
* Promote upcoming campaigns

Instead of seeing an error or inactive page, users will see your custom message.

### 🔄 Between activation periods

If your experience uses specific activation dates or schedules, you can enable **custom content displayed between the activation dates**.
The **On-page content displayed when not in activation periods** field allows you to show a message when users try to access the experience outside of active periods (for example, between two campaign phases).

### 📅 Between scheduled days

When using the **weekly schedule** feature, you can enable **custom content displayed between scheduled days**.
The **On-page content displayed when not on a scheduled day** field lets you display a message when users access the experience on days or times when it is not available.
For example:

“This experience is only available on weekends. Come back later!”

### 💡 Tips

* Use clear and friendly messaging to guide users on when to return
* Add links or calls to action to keep users engaged
* Keep messages short and easy to understand

By combining these options, you can fully control what users see at every stage of your campaign lifecycle.
