Data collection form customisation

Check out our 7-minute masterclass to find out how to set up the data collection form on the Drimify platform.

Where is the data collection form screen?

A data collection form screen can be selected and customised from the intermediate screen options. This screen is either used:

After the start screen and before the game to encourage data collection ahead of the experience
After the game but before the end screen, to encourage data collection after the experience

We advise you to put your data collection form screen at the beginning for better conversion rates.

The data collection form can be deactivated, but your Drimify app can still continue to collect data if the user is already identified to your platform (website, extranet, customer area) and you use the session unique ID feature.

You can only activate one data collection screen per game or interactive module.

So if you don't see it in the intermediate screen option after the game configuration creation step, un-check it in the intermediate screen option before the game configuration creation step and it will be available again.

What elements are available in the form?

All the following fields can be modified: you can move them around in any order you like, and also customise their labels.

You can include the following in your form:

* Unique identifier
* First name
* Last name
* Email
* User name
* Date of birth - which can also be used as another date field
* Postal address
* Postcode
* City
* Country
* Telephone number
* Company name
* Website address
* A blank text field that you can customise
* A custom format - This allows you define a pattern in text, numbers, or both, and impose character limits. This feature can be used if you want players to enter their membership number, or a secret code to participate in an experience.
* 2 customisable drop-down menus - These allow you to create lists of values each corresponding to a label.

The drop-down menus allow you to create a list of values, each corresponding to a label. The value is not visible to the user, and will only be displayed in the data export. Only the label will be visible to the user. You must enter one item of data per line using this format: value | label

All these elements are ticked as "required" by default, but you can un-tick any fields you'd like to stay optional.

A customisable checkbox: this allows you to create one or more checkboxes, each corresponding to a label
You need to enter one item of data per line, using this format: value | label, with the option to add | required to make this field mandatory
An opt-in newsletter checkbox

Note that only the custom checkbox can be set to required, the opt-in checkbox must remain optional.

You can also:

Make the data collection form compulsory
Add your own additional legal notices by ticking the enable and display additional legal information option
